This is an original hand painted Dog Plate featuring a superb head and shoulders study of a Beared Collie, dated 1993 signed to the front by the artist B. Shaw, this is an original piece of Wedgwood pottery, it is of superb quality, to the rear are the Wedgwood Stamps and a note saying hand painted by Betty Shaw 1993, it is in superb condition with NO chips, repairs, overall size approx. 8" diameter.
This is one of a large collection of antique illustrated Dog Plates with illustrations of many different breeds of dogs by Cecil Aldin, Marguerite Kirmse, George Earl, George Armfield, Royal Doulton, Royal Worcester, Wedgwood and other famous specialist dog artists and factories that we currently have for sale or will be listing on Ebay in the near furure.
