You have found the missing pieces to your China Collection! Here is a Vintage Decorative Covered Cachepot or Chestnut Urn from Mottahedeh, Italy. The pattern is of Oval Black Prints framed with Pearl String Borders on a Yellow Background. One Side is entitled in French "L' Eté" (Summer), which is the subject of reapers with sickles, reaping and binding sheaves of wheat. The Reverse Side with a subject entitled in French "L' Hiver" (Winter), which the subject of children gathering Fallen Wood for a Blazing Fire. The subjects Reproduced from the famous French Pottery Artist Creil Montereau Neoclassic Style. The Urn also has Handled Sides with Molded Lion Head Masks. The opening is 4" by 6 1/4" wide (plus handles), the base is 4" by 5 1/8, and it is 9" tall (without lid), and 11 3/4" tall (with lid). It is in excellent preowned condition, but the Lid Acorn Top has been Repaired. Also, it has Crazing from Age (see Pictures). Please see our Not Just China Store for more Fine China.
